I woke up
with some passages on my mind:
'Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.
Then the culmination, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after having put an end to every rulership, yes, to every authority and power.
For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will…immediately after the tribulation of those days...then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn…He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some people think of slowness; on the contrary, he is patient with you; for it is not his purpose that anyone should be destroyed, but that everyone should turn from his sins.
You too, be patient; keep up your courage; for the Lord's return is near. Don't grumble against one another, brothers, so that you won't come under condemnation- look! The Judge is standing at the door!
"The one who is testifying to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon!'" Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua!
Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives,
The accomplishing of the goal of all things is close at hand. Therefore, keep alert and self-controlled, so that you can pray.
"Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit, like people waiting for their master's return after a wedding feast; so that when he comes and knocks, they will open the door for him without delay.
The LORD his God is with him, And the shout of a king is among them.
At the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, "Shout! For the LORD has given you the city.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God's shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise;
But as for you, [Daniel] go your way to the end; then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age.
The seventh angel sounded his shofar; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and his Messiah, and he will rule forever and ever…Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth."
He [God] has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."
But you, brothers, are not in the dark, so that the Day should take you by surprise like a thief; for you are all people who belong to the light…so let's not be asleep, like the rest are; on the contrary, let us stay alert and sober.
And what I say to you, I say to everyone: stay alert!
