I was reading through the Ha’azinu Haftarah passage of 2 Sam 22, I found that
David’s cry of deliverance and victory over his enemies seems to have some
prophetic implications. My mind immediately went to what the prophet Joel
described in chapter 2. Take a look. Of course Joel 2 details this "army of the
Lord", and who are those that will accompany him on the 'day of battle? Who is
this army that ‘goes before him”? Welcome to boot camp.
